The line between digital security and physical access control has disappeared. That shift is the backdrop for a new strategic partnership between Partisia, specialists in decentralized digital identity, and Vitani, a market-leading provider of security management.
The partnership starts from a simple observation: unlocking a door is no longer enough. Today, both regulation and the security landscape require organisations to document, with certainty, who is inside their facilities, whether that is permanent staff or temporary visitors.

Security without barriers
With the rollout of the NIS2 directive and the eIDAS framework (including AltID, launched on 3 June 2026 by the Danish Agency for Digital Government), the requirements for verifiable access history have tightened sharply. By integrating Partisia’s identity solutions directly into Vitani’s access-control infrastructure, the two companies replace heavy, manual control with automated, cryptographic security.
A central part of the collaboration is the rollout of VisitorPass, which makes it possible to manage guest and external access rights with the same precision as permanent employees, without compromising on usability.
“Security and efficiency have historically often ended up as opposites. Through our partnership with Vitani, we prove the opposite. We integrate digital trust directly into building operations, so organisations get the overview and the legal documentation they need without creating bottlenecks at reception or the security gate. It is about closing the security gaps that appear when you don’t have control over digital identity at the physical entrance.”
Mark Bundgaard, CPO, Partisia
“Our customers today are asking for solutions that reach far beyond traditional access control. They need to know that they meet complex regulatory requirements without it affecting daily operations. Partisia’s technology lets us raise identity to a new level, where secure verification becomes a natural, integrated part of a modern, future-proof security solution.”

A shared path to market
The collaboration covers a deep technical integration with Vitani’s existing systems as well as a joint go-to-market effort. The goal is to make advanced identity verification a standard component of modern building security, with the complexity hidden behind a simple user experience.
Partisia and Vitani are also hosting a joint webinar on how access control is becoming a trusted identity layer.
