We are pleased to announce that FrontDesk and Partisia are beginning a new strategic partnership to bring digital identity into physical arrival registration.

The partnership is based on a shared ambition to combine FrontDesk’s existing solutions for attendance and arrival registration with Partisia’s technology for the secure use of digital credentials through AltID.

As the first joint pilot project, we are working with Vejle Municipality to develop and test a flexible flow for digital registration of attendance and absence.

In practice, a citizen will be able to identify themselves with AltID from Digitaliseringsstyrelsen and check in via either a FrontDesk stand or a mobile solution. The verified information from AltID can then be used directly in the FrontDesk flow, so that registration becomes simpler, more secure and more digital.

A FrontDesk check-in kiosk asking the citizen to scan a QR code with AltID. The heading reads 'Tjek ind eller tjek ud', the panel is branded AltID and notes that AltID is an app developed by Digitaliseringsstyrelsen, and the footer reads 'powered by Partisia'.

The kiosk step from the joint demo. The citizen scans the code with AltID and approves what is shared; the kiosk registers the arrival.

Nicolas Jøns Larsen, CEO, FrontDesk, says:

“We see great potential in connecting digital identity with the way municipalities already handle attendance and arrival. With the partnership with Partisia, we can build on our existing solutions and make AltID usable in physical reality, without the citizen having to learn a whole new process. Vejle Municipality is an important first pilot, where together we can test what works in practice and create the foundation for a solution that can be scaled to more municipalities.”

The solution is at the same time designed to be adaptable to different locations - from staffed head offices with stands to smaller locations where a mobile check-in flow may be more relevant.

Line Stephansen, Commercial Director, Partisia, says:

“AltID becomes genuinely interesting when the digital identity can be used for more than login. Together with FrontDesk, we are now taking a concrete step towards making verifiable digital identity usable in citizens’ physical meeting with the municipality. Vejle Municipality gives us a strong opportunity to test how digital credentials from AltID can be used directly in existing municipal flows, and at the same time create a solution that can be taken further to other municipalities.”

Vejle Municipality thereby becomes an important first step in testing how digital identity can be linked to existing municipal workflows and physical attendance - and how AltID can create value without requiring entirely new processes for the citizen.

The pilot project is part of the joint work between FrontDesk and Partisia, which describes precisely the ambition to test that solution with the pilot municipality in Vejle and subsequently bring it further to market. It is to form the basis for a broader shared solution.

Digital identity shouldn’t only be used to log in. It should be usable in the real world.

And that is exactly what we are now beginning to put into practice together.

And we’re looking forward to showing what’s next.

A verified identity becomes a digital credential that opens the door.

  1. Verify with AltID National eID
  2. Issue the credential Signed by you
  3. In the guest’s wallet On their own phone
  4. Open the door Visit logged

At Digitaliseringsmessen on 23 September 2026, FrontDesk and Partisia will present the solution together and share more about the pilot project with Vejle Municipality - including how AltID can move beyond digital login and become part of real-world interactions between citizens and municipalities.
