Two deep tech companies, Partisia and Trust Stamp, have formed a strategic partnership to develop a more accessible and resilient solution for biometric holder binding, which will give the digital identity industry a reliable way to verify that a credential belongs to the person presenting it.

By combining Trust Stamp’s biometric technology with Partisia’s Multi-Party Computation (MPC) platform for privacy-preserving data solutions, the two companies offer a simplified, privacy-centric way to link digital credentials to an individual’s unique biometric data. The approach is designed so that only the legitimate owner can use the credential, without exposing sensitive personal information.

Unlike traditional methods, the joint solution places user privacy at the center by keeping biometric data within the user’s control. Trust Stamp removes the need for conventional templates or centralized databases by transforming live biometric input into a secure, non-reversible representation, so an identity can be established cryptographically without storing sensitive biometric data or cryptographic keys. Paired with Partisia’s MPC architecture, the result is a privacy-first identity solution built to prevent unauthorized access and eliminate single points of failure.

A key part of the partnership is the GODS (Global Omnichain Data Service) Network, which enables trustworthy representation of data across networks and Web3 in general. GODS streamlines adoption across diverse ecosystems, including finance, digital services, government, and Web3 platforms. The interoperable credential format allows a verified and bound identity to be reused across multiple platforms, removing repetitive onboarding and the unnecessary exposure of personal data.

“Our collaboration is about accelerating the industry’s progress toward delivering the ease users expect, while enabling a secure, reusable identity across platforms. It’s a step toward a future where seamless login replaces repetitive onboarding and protects personal data.”

“By joining forces with Partisia, we are making it easier for organizations to adopt best-in-class privacy-first technologies without compromising performance or user experience.”

What biometric holder binding means

Biometrics are the unique physical or behavioral traits, such as fingerprints or facial features, used to verify a person’s identity. Holder binding puts them to work on a credential: it establishes that the digital credential being presented belongs to the individual presenting it, rather than to someone who obtained a copy.

“Biometric holder binding is fundamental to establishing trust in digital identity. Our work with Trust Stamp makes this trust more accessible, demonstrating that robust privacy standards and ease of use can coexist in harmony. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to delivering tools that empower users, protect their data, and ensure broad interoperability across digital landscapes.”

Why regulated sectors care

For sectors under pressure to modernize their identity systems, particularly banking and other regulated industries, the collaboration offers a deployable, privacy-centric alternative to traditional KYC and onboarding procedures. It simplifies verification workflows, reduces fraud risk, and is built to help organizations meet stringent data protection requirements, including GDPR in Europe, APPI in Japan, PDPA in Singapore, CCPA in California, and Law 1581 of 2012 in Colombia.

Together, Partisia and Trust Stamp are building a digital identity ecosystem where individuals can prove who they are without giving up control of their personal information, and where credentials stay securely linked to the person they belong to.
