Partisia Quantum has entered a new phase of its journey.
After years of academic research, innovation, and technology development, the company is ready to accelerate the commercial adoption of quantum-safe infrastructure across critical industries. As part of that transition, Partisia Quantum has grown from an internal business unit within Partisia into an independent company, and effective 1 August 2026, Michael Le Gerstrøm Rode has been appointed Chief Executive Officer to lead its next stage of growth.
A new chapter, built on a strong foundation
The move to independence marks more than a change in corporate structure. It reflects a company ready to move from research excellence to commercial impact. Partisia Quantum’s foundation rests on more than 25 years of academic research led by our late co-founder Kurt Nielsen and Professor Ivan Damgård, whose work has shaped some of the most important developments in applied cryptography and secure multi-party computation, including the landmark publication “Multiparty Computation Goes Live”. That research now underpins a commercially available platform designed to protect data and communications in the quantum era.
Bringing in dedicated commercial leadership at this moment is a deliberate step. Michael Le Gerstrøm Rode brings more than 17 years of commercial leadership and advisory experience across financial services, energy, technology, supply chains, manufacturing, and cybersecurity, experience that positions him to translate deep technical capability into market traction.

The technology behind the growth ambition
Partisia Quantum delivers Hybrid Quantum-Safe Infrastructure (HQSI), a software-first approach to quantum-safe communications and encryption. Developed in close collaboration with governmental stakeholders and ecosystem partners, including the Danish Quantum Community and the European AccessQKD initiative, HQSI combines secure multi-party computation (MPC), post-quantum cryptography (PQC), and quantum key distribution (QKD) into a flexible and commercially deployable infrastructure.
What sets HQSI apart is precisely what makes the growth story credible: unlike many solutions on the market, it does not depend on dedicated hardware. Customers can deploy it as a standalone software solution or integrate it with existing hardware environments, depending on their operational and security requirements. That makes it a more scalable, cost-efficient, and future-proof path toward quantum-safe security, and it gives new commercial leadership something concrete to build on.
